@flav > what's the point of the Fediverse if instances are blocking each other because they can't deal with different opinions?
I'm not sure, I was added to a blocklist for arguing with a Gnome developer who claimed "Pleroma is for racists, by racists, and the developers have encouraged this". I bring up that he was a "Gnome developer" to show you the sheer caliber of bigbrain on this guy. Oh and he's a self identified autist, that may also explain working for Gnome (as a diversity hire).

Regardless this is consistently the behavior I see from Masterdongs. "Block this person because I told you so! why won't you block them? now I'm blocking all the people who won't block the people I block" among other harebrained logic like "words are actual violence" and "the fediverse is inherently racist because only smart and rich people can enter it" and "the software known as Pleroma is racist"

@coyote @flav

Indeed especially when users have the power to simply mute other users or whole services, there is no need for servers to block other servers.

@zleap @flav I can only see a justification for the spammy porn instances, or the mickey mouse spammer. But this is a completely different set of issues

@coyote @flav yes i can understand that, but again just block that person

Follow

@zleap @coyote It's funny how the left-wingers who are supposed to hate the corporations are siding with them just because they're oppressing and silencing their opposition.
