To disambiguate between the very different uses of the word "racism" in common use today, I now apply the appelations "objective" and "subjective".
Objective racism is discrimination based on race with no context. This definition is what most people learned in school prior to 2005.
Subjective racism takes into account cultural power structures and historical time periods chosen to push the speaker's narrative. This definition is what students in higher education learn today.

We don't censor stuff. Where would you get that idea? Don't you know that it's fake news that we censor stuff?
@everlastingrocks They do not trust me to run my own software. My "new" laptop has been in purgatory for 4 months because I refuse to sign the local sysadmin privileges user agreement from Infosec.
Mixed in this document is a requirement that all employees with local assigned-laptop admin access MUST get permission for every installed piece of software from the head of Infosec.
This is not how FOSS works not how software developers work. The rest of my department signed and disregarded it.
The radical modernist, secularist side of the "political debate" espouse their "faith" when beneficial to them. It is a tool like claiming identity with the working class or the value of life (*limitations apply).
Every now and then they let their guard down and let slip what they really believe. Such is Andrew Cuomo's recent comment on a slight improvement in the mess he made in New York:
"The number is down because we brought the number down. God did not do that. Faith did not do that."
No siree, God had nothing to do with it and we should not give Him credit. Nope. Just solidarity rejecting big, heavy-handed government. That's our salvation. Come dance with me on this wide road to perdition...
> The stats also revealed that African Americans make up 28 percent of COVID-19 deaths — even though they are just 22 percent of the city’s population.

> “The disparities that have plagued this city … are all about fundamental inequality are once again causing such pain and causing innocent people to lose their lives,” said Mayor Bill de Blasio … “It’s sick. It’s troubling. It’s wrong.”
Okay boomer.

@progo they tested it on 30 patients. We need larger studies with more patients before we can draw any conclusions.
Nevermind all my raving yesterday about New York State being over the curve with "new cases per day".

"Ethical source" can be open source the same way that grain-fed pigs can be kosher.
In other words, you can't be both. "Ethical source" denies users liberty and expressly repudiates the open source principle of nondiscrimination (discriminating against those you consider discriminatory themselves is NOT non-discriminating). #opensource
Does God love everyone, or just selected ones? – Forthright Magazine http://forthright.net/2020/02/24/god-loves/
> Most everyone is familiar with John 3.16. It has become a favorite verse of many. God loves the world! But this fine summary needs to be supplemented with the full gospel. A good place to start for this is another word from Jesus, also in the gospel of John.
Happy to meet you wherever you are on your journey (software or spiritual)
