Who remembers the times you could predict the warmth you'd hear on CD based on the three letter sequences of:
A/D : recorded
A/D : mixed
A/D : mastered
So AAD was usually earlier CDs for artists who liked warmth but still wanted to sell the new format.
ADD was modernized without losing all the advantages of analog. Balanced.
*DA is 2020s cheaply produced vinyl where they press from a CD source lol.
DDD overly marketed as the digital future and some artists like Yes (Talk) bragged about it.
A=Analog
D=Digital
