In case you don’t believe the same equations govern #motion in the #atmosphere and the #ocean.

Been having some executive dysfunction and general focus issues lately, so last night I stripped my phone down to the essentials. The layout is inspired by this Peter McKinnon video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjdFm9A89pY&t=73s but on Graphene OS instead. This is color, but I'm actually running it in color correction mode with grayscale active, to further limit distracting design aspects.
The WordPress plugin to add ActivityPub is pretty much useless garbage. It doesn't give you a timeline or anything, just creates a username for people to follow. Might as well just publish links manually. Not that I've written a blog post in ages, or even have an active blog page on my site... but I'm considering it.
Going to be using this Librem account to post text based thoughts, links to new writings and boosts. Meanwhile, I've started up a profile on metapixl to treat as IG/TikTok replacement, with photos, videos and possibly vertical stories if I can be bothered. Here's the link: https://metapixl.com/elim_case
Notable that Marc Andreessen backed Elon’s Twitter takeover and is now also backing Post.news, Twitter’s main competitor outside Mastodon. Once again, you think you’re given a choice but the rich get richer either path you take!

A man walks towards the steelworks in Hartlepool in 1963 by Don McCullin. Industrial scenes like this had a grim majesty to them.
I love everything about this photo, it is a masterful capture of a bygone age.

This is one of my favorite pictures. It feels like it was taken yesterday… but it was taken in a Paris public garden nearly a hundred years ago. Everything feels modern: the composition, the casualness, the daring clothes, haircuts, and accessories.
The colors are original: this is an #autochrome, using the first process for color #photography invented by the Lumière brothers in 1903.
The women are unknown, but I can't help wondering how they fared a few years later in nazi-occupied Paris.
For those who might be leaning away from the corporate but are still locked into the services portion, like me, I'm going to start sharing some open source applications to try. To start, I just found this in the Pop Shop and since I'm addicted to Apple Music since abandoning the horrible/unethical competition last year, this is a lifesaver for my Linux box, although it appears to have clients for Windows and Mac too! A clever name helps too. https://cider.sh/
Good to see this all getting more traction with the probable downfall of the bird site. Was gifted a little laptop which has become my dedicated writing box, so my older #system76 machine has been wiped of Windows and is pure Linux again. Elite: Dangerous ran out of the box, not so much with ESO or Fallout 76. DaVinci Resolve and Blender for any video or 3D projects.
Got my Part 107 cert recently and was so excited I spun up a UAV Pilots and Enthusiasts room in Librem Chat / Matrix. If you're into flying anything remote please join us at https://matrix.to/#/#uav:librem.one

Let's give this social thing a shot again, shall we? Finally have a proper open source laptop with my #system76 Onyx Pro, now I just need a FOSS phone and enterprise quality UAV. Anyone working on a FOSS RV with built in 3D printer, preloaded with all the vehicles printable parts on a USB drive? How about a printable Ronin-S alternative? #libremdotone seems a nice fog substitute, looking forward to watching it evolve.
