aw, poor intel. they tried so hard, and got so far, but in the end it didn't even matter.

the worst part of this is that after trying to roll DLVR out for the past two generations and having to blow the chicken bit in a last minute panic each time, they've finally got it out and nobody's going to upgrade

@gsuberland okay, that was supposed to link directly to the chapter about the dlvr.

@ekg I suspect some of this comes down to board vendors being rather conservative on the LLC slope after the 13th/14th gen debacle, and we might see improved power stats once they dial things in.

@ekg also probably MPS still tuning their polyphase buck controllers to the older behaviour. might see some improvement on the next round of motherboards.

but yeah, I suspect this generation will be a flop due to all the issues.

@gsuberland performance regression and BSOD on the same release isn't a great look.

@gsuberland that was my exact same thoughts, would love to see what happens when they drop vout significantly under heavy load.

@ekg the other issue might be that Intel knew the performance wasn't great and told the board vendors to absolutely jack the LLC and let DLVR eat the spikes.

I'll be interested to see Buildzoid's analysis on it.
