Capitalists: actually no we’re explicitly doing evil and destroying jobs to stay rich
@HeavenlyPossum IKR, capitalists don't create jobs. What creates them is people's necessities. People can live fine without companies, never the other way around.

@darley @HeavenlyPossum the concept of "work" adding value is inherently a way of imagining labour as a form of capital, regardless of who is the benefactor of that added value.
@ekg @HeavenlyPossum what I meant by jobs was the act of doing labor: hunting, planting, transforming things etc. People have been working long before capitalism.
