The Far-Right Fascination With The Electric Grid - new report today
unicornriot.ninja/2022/the-far
Over the past three years, government agencies have warned that white supremacists and other far-right actors are the most significant domestic threat to the United States’ security. One of the pillars of that threat is the targeting of crucial infrastructure, including the electric grid.

I don’t want to keep talking about fucking Elon Musk but the way he keeps reeling the attention back to himself is a pattern that will only be broken when the people whose attention he wants refuse to give it. You can set your fucking watch by it at this point and I hate myself for even typing his name. He couldn’t even let folks have the World Cup without doing a big LOOK AT ME move. JFC.

A mob of red deer stags in Richmond Park, they were on the edge of the woods and unless you stopped to look from most angles they were perfectly hidden, I crouched down to take the shot, that's when I could see how many there were (shot with a long lens it looks like I was a lot closer than I actually was). #RichmondPark #RedDeer #Stags #RedStags #WildLifePhotography #Nature #Photography #AltText

We were just banned from Twitter.

It is disappointing but something we expected to happen.

Our crew is in a very healthy place and our work disrupting fascist organizing in so-called Colorado will continue, though we will probably emphasize IRL work even more.

Report on banner drop in #Asheville in solidarity with those violently arrested by police in #Atlanta fighting counter-insurgency 'Cop City' project. #StopCopCity

"Recent raids on the resistance encampment in the Atlanta forest led to the arrest of tree sitters and the violent destruction of ground support camps. Sitters were pepper sprayed by law enforcement and deprived of water and other basic necessities while held in detention.

In response to this predictable and horrific display of state violence, Asheville stands in solidarity with Atlantians fighting against the expansion of police infrastructure. Beyond destroying the hundreds of acres of forest that serve as a natural carbon sink and temperature modulator for one of America’s hottest cities, the construction of cop city will serve to develop and accentuate the power of the police to harass, surveil, and brutalize communities."

Earlier today, protesters blocked the Port of Montreal in a Solidarity Action with the Wet'suwet'en and their resistance to the Coastal GasLink pipeline. The action occurred while the COP15 meeting on biodiversity continues at the Montreal Convention Center. The photo here was shared with No Borders Media, along with the following excerpts from the press release sent by action organizers:

"... While COP15 is taking place in the streets of Montreal and the Canadian government is doing its greenwashing dance for the world, construction of the Coastal Gaslink pipeline on Wet'suwet'en territory continues against the will of the nation, whose guardians have opposed oil drilling for years. This ecocidal project threatens the Wedzin Kwa River and the wildlife of the Yintah; while Canada pays lip service to biodiversity at COP15, CGL blasts dynamite and lays pipe through Wet'suwet'en waters, threatening already endangered salmon, eel, and other non-human life. Faced with the resistance of the First Nations, the Canadian petro-state has deployed and continues to deploy millions of dollars in militarized police to force the passage of this monstrous project. ... Every day, the port of Montreal sees products from all over the world circulate in ever greater quantities. Yet our living conditions are declining, ecosystems are collapsing, and Indigenous peoples are still the targets of repressive and genocidal policies. The economic system that runs the Port of Montreal is leading us to our collective doom. It demands more oil, more raw materials, more mega-infrastructure, and more land for its mines, pipelines, and container storage. Today we shut it down!"

Today, it has been a year and a day since a fire tore through our mail-order space, destroying thousands of our books, posters, and infrastructure. In response, people around the world mobilized to support us, raising tens of thousands of dollars and flooding us with messages of encouragement.

It was an inspiring example of solidarity. We've never set aside any profits from our activities, never sought to acquire resources for ourselves as a consequence of our political efforts, and it turned out that we didn't have to, because in our moment of need, you were there for us. This experience will sustain us for years to come.

As we wrote at the time,

"All we ask in all the world is to be able to continue our chosen task—and you have made this possible for us. This is the most profound gift we could receive. It is humbling to be presented with so much care and support from so many people we admire and aspire to build solidarity with. You have conferred a tremendous responsibility upon us, and we will do everything in our power to deserve your faith in us."

@igd_news on their suspension from twitter: "Musk represents a segment of the billionaire class that is willing to align itself with the fascist-Right. This reflects the outright nihilism that this camp sells to its followers. This is why Musk set his sights on those reporting on grassroots movements as soon as he gained control of Twitter. Musk isn’t here to shake things up, but to preserve his position at the top." itsgoingdown.org/its-going-dow
