Mal wieder einen Porzellanladen zerdeppert? Grund genug, ein Versteck zu suchen! Ich hätte da ein paar gute Ideen. Und ein paar schlechte.

As a child, I was bawled out by people in authority for not looking them in the eye when I spoke to them. I also remember strangers snarling 'what are *you* looking at!' when I made eye contact with them and prepared to say 'hi'. I remember feeling unnatural and intense when making eye contact for more than a couple of seconds, and being very confused about how to do it so I people wouldn't keep shouting at me about it. To this day, I find it anxiety-inducing.

Is this a typical experience?

My daughter told me today she no longer tidies her room, instead she 'resets' it to tidy each Sunday for the week ahead . She said mentally this helps because tidy sounds such a chore while reset doesn't, and the thought that there's a weekly reset means she doesn't feel bad if the room gets messy in the week, because she'll reset on Sunday!

Der Backsteinhof in Lützerath ist von 1763. Wenn man auf so einem Gebäude eine Photovoltaikanlage installieren will, muss man in der Regel jahrelang mit den Denkmalbehörden kämpfen. Wahrscheinlich ohne Erfolg.
