Since many countries have adopted a lot of censorship, authoritarianism and surveillance. I recently saw news that a certain country started fining around $8,000 for using vpn. Using card payments and paypal is not viable in that country, for example. That's why we need to adopt cryptocurrencies as a means of payment too.
