To this day I don't know why Twitter took off. I remember first discovering it, finding the small character limit absolutely unhelpful and expecting Twitter to never take off.
I never used Twitter for more than a very brief while for that reason but also, whenever I tried to, it would mark me as a bot and suspend my account just because I was too shy to post but followed a lot of people, and then again for leaving a remade account inactive for a few months because I was busy
Why did this piece of trash gain traction and popularity? I find it such a bad experience to use and is generally not helpful of a platform at all
