This collection was instigated by a friend and includes 120 poets. It is quite beautiful. The particular loves may be between women, but the universals are here; Here are 263 facets of the jewel called love (I counted). No, this is not a collection only for women. This is rich poetic food for humans who love, who have loved, and who hope to love.

Some powerful writing today at Brave And Reckless in response to the Feminist Book Title Writing Challenge -- The Handmaid's Tale

This began as a comment on a poem on another blog (TheFeatheredSleep). I told Candice I thought it might be able to stand alone. She said, “DO IT!”

Comment Poem 1

In the in between hours
Neither night nor day
A beauty born in a cocoon
spun for two to transform
A butterfly ghost can appear
Now, long flown away.

WHERE ARE THE WILD THINGS?

Where are the wild things?
Oh, they’re surely here
So close, prowling, breathing,
Hunting in the shadows of
Those deep and dark woods
Whispering of freedoms
Forbidden by civilization
Long forgotten by apes
Mad enough to wear clothes
And sit in offices
And poison a planet
They have demands
The wild things do
Do you hear them?
And do you hear them growl
That if we are gone
There will still be wild things?
