the video is two seconds; the flashes start around the 1 second point, and seems to have four transitions in a 1 second period from what I can count:

yellow -> black

I'm doing real lazy analysis here but I can't help but feel there is something remarkably "on brand" about Mozilla putting a potentially unsafe video on their "choose humanity" website where they pretend that making an LLM browser is pro-human.

I was marveling while reading this PCMag piece, which describes how to secure an agentic AI setup that essentially mimics malware: To do it's job properly, the AI agent has to be able to read private messages, store credentials, execute commands, and maintain a persistent state. How do you do that? You chase after it like you would your child.

The saddest part is that the smartest marketing minds at Mozilla haven't figured out one simple truth: if Mozilla wants marketshare back, all it has to do at this point is completely REJECT everything AI. It's that simple.

Lastly, whenever I do work with people through a specific case of them having felt like they needed to rely on an LLM, it often goes like this.

They feel guilty and ashamed.

They explain how impossible getting that task done felt with their time and energy constraints.

Yet when I talk them through other ways of solving the same problem, often we end up completing the work much quicker than it even took them to prompt the damn LLM to begin with.

And at the end, I have often seen relief - as if the person has forgotten that there are ways to work quickly while trusting their own brain, getting help in collaboration with another person rather than from a machine.

I do kind of love seeing someone realize that the AI they thought was saving them time actually caused more hassle and stress than it was worth. And that there’s a better way.

Weder Staat noch Wirtschaft haben einen Anspruch darauf, dass Bürger*innen die Entfaltung ihrer Persönlichkeit an den Interessen der Wirtschaft ausrichten. Mit dem gesetzlich verankerten Anspruch auf Teilzeit kommt der Staat der Norm von Artikel 2 nach.
