Nach intensiven Gesprächen verstehe ich jetzt die "besorgten Bürger". Sie sind nicht dumm sondern wählen absichtlich gegen ihre Interessen. Sie sind bereit ihre Freiheit, ihre Sicherheit und ihren Wohlstand für ihre Ideale aufzugeben. Das mit den Idealen ist etwas komplex, aber es hat irgendwas zu tun mit der Wärmepumpe.

s6-rc 0.6.0.0 and s6-frontend are out!

This new version of s6-rc provides the user with a framework to store and organize their service definition directories, and utilities to craft sets of services that they want to appear in their service database. It is the engine that runs under s6-frontend.

s6-frontend is a user-friendly interface to all the parts of the s6 ecosystem. It provides a single s6 command, that pilots the s6 and s6-rc packages while hiding gritty policy details, and makes the service manager easy to configure and operate. It is the penultimate step before making s6 a full init system that distributions can integrate.

Meanwhile, if you try to, I don’t know, ACTUALLY SUBMIT PATCHES to fix a problem, gnome maintainers will decline stating some stupid bullshit like “all development has moved to GTK4, not accepting patches to GTK3 anymore” despite my patch fixing an actual fucking problem that has a simple and uncontroversial fucking solution with a two line code change. Gnome is domineering and unwelcoming of any outsider patches or ideas by comparison to any FSF project I have ever participated in. Some “community” gnome turned out to be. Meanwhile I report a bug in a GNU project component, like nano, regarding some very poor behaviour for accessibility when on a physical terminal, and they immediately investigated and fixed the bug even without me sending in a patch. And thanked me for reporting the bug and explained to me what the problem was.

"Chinesium" is racist. Chinese manufacturers build to the customer's price and spec just like everyone else. Junk, cheap crap, disposable, etc already exist. No need for a new term just to incorrectly throw nationality in.
