@micahflee The only real solution I see is to mimic email by running a Mastodon server on your own domain. If I get an email from micah@micahflee.com and one from micah@gmail.com then I know that the first one is probably real. Companies should do the same. <name>@mastodon.company.com is more legit than <name>@whatever_public_mastodon_server.
