BSD vs GPL (& Linux)
@freakazoid The thing is, copyleft is important to some of us. It's an ethics thing if you will. Having interected with many BSD people over the years, some of them can be shockingly pro-corporatist, I don't want to be in such a corner.
There's no reason why everything has to have the same features, why everything has to *be* the same. BSD is a choice you can make, GNU/Linux is a choice you can make. It's up to you. FreeBSD is even re-basing their tree on ZoL, so...
BSD vs GPL (& Linux)
@freakazoid with minimal effort you can get ZFS on #Linux if you really want to.
I'll personally wait for #BcacheFS but that's just me.
BSD vs GPL (& Linux)
@MatejLach @freakazoid Licensing is not about feature or maturness, it's about the developer's intention, GPL is about not letting your work be used to sabotage people, BSD certainly didn't do this even just looking at PlayStation.
