Ok seems like I just fucked up (my fault) Pure OS on my Librem 5 which was pre installed on the phone. So I will install a fresh Linux distribution. What is your opinion: Should I use #PureOS again because it (maybe) works best or should I try #Mobian ? Has anyone tested them recently?

@zwarf Difficult question. I switched to Mobian recently, because that OS is more up to date than PureOS Byzantium. Most things work as good as, or better, than Byzantium. Cell modem is slower to wake up from suspend and seems to crash more often in Mobian though.

@tomasoqvist Are you using this phone as your main device? And is the crashing of the modem obvious? The modem on my L5 on PureOS sometimes crashes but the indicator icon at the top bar doesn't change. So I check my phone and it looks fine but I don't receive any incoming calls.

@zwarf I ran Mobian on L5 as my daily driver for a while, and generally it worked well. When the modem crashed, I think it always showed by that the indicator icon was gone. Toggling the hardware kill switch usually fixed it.

I am a bit of a phone and distro hopper though, so starting this past Saturday I am using postmarketOS edge with Gnome-mobile on a OnePlus 6 that I have as a daily driver. It has its quirks, but I will continue using it for a while and see how it goes 🙂.

@tomasoqvist Sounds awesome thanks a lot! Then I will try mobian next :)
