huh, you can do tiling in #openbox 😮 i'll have to check this out!
also there's a post about 'Pantheon Lite' which is openbox themed as elementaryOS, looks cool 🤤
i think i'll just stick to i3gaps, openbox isn't as comfy as i thought (yet) - maybe i'll use it on another new installation
@adalbertsen That's what I've stuck with, I actually decided to run i3 Gaps with no Polybar/Status bar or anything. Most of the status bar type stuff I don't need to know often, and being i3, when I do, its a quick terminal away.
@techzerker i like polybar, checking my cpu load/temp is handy with a slim ultrabook
@adalbertsen Very true, I'm running a few year old heavy Republic of Gamers laptop that I can't really load up or overheat, way over specced for what I do, so did away with that bar :P

@adalbertsen Haha, aye, I have a little chinese Cube 10" laptop that's great, but gets hot like that in one corner, as it has an M3 Intel crammed in it vs. the usual Celeron lower power units.
@techzerker i did everything to keep this laptop from overheating - Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut on the CPU, intel-undervolt, added extra Thermal Grizzly pads on the heatsink multiple places... before this it was running on 60 degrees celsius all the time, now i'm at 40 😅
