Came to say, pretty much, what everyone else already said. So, a hearty Ditto.
I'm a fan, but being brilliant at/for FOSS doesn't mean he's brilliant at everything. And, yeah, it feels like people over-reacted to (misrepresented?) the CSAIL thing, as an isolated incident ... but apparently, it's been a long time coming.
