In case you are falsely feeling protected outside of Europe:

Chat Control doesn't just concern Europeans. It concerns all of us.

These kind of regulations will come for all of us, everywhere, if we do not ALL push against it everywhere.

If you do not understand how this is all intertwined, I invite you to read more privacy news and in-depth analysis. Because we must all support each other's privacy fights.

Privacy is a human right 💚

Fight for a better world, together ✊🌍

Is it just me, or is the Git #FFmpeg website #Anubis integration broken?

I can get through Anubis on other sites, but on git.ffmpeg.org it always fails for me with "invalid response".

I love Maloja github.com/krateng/maloja as a little self-hosted alternative to lastfm. I scrobble there as well as #ListenBrainz and good old #LastFM. Noticed it was completely using all the RAM on my server. I threw an #Anubis instance up in front of it... Suddenly, absolutely no issues at all. I want to boot all these AI scrapers maxing out my machines into the sun now :(

Hacker News is my guilty pleasure. I just love the "How I sold my 'basic Unix tool rewritten as a 300 MB Node.js Docker container' startup' for $500M" posts.

Half the comments on the "FFmpeg switches to @forgejo" posts are complaints about the anime girl from Anubis.

You Silicon Valley tech-bro motherfuckers who think it's OK to DDoS small websites are the sole reason we had to put her there in the first place.

Hey, Linux people: a LOT of folks are screaming off Windows right now.

Be. Kind. To. Them.

They don't know much yet, so they are going to ask really basic questions. If you're KIND, you might get some to give it a try and stick to it bc they know they can ask for help. If you're unkind, you're showing them using Linux will be *worse* than Windows. If you can't bring yourself to be kind, then SAY NOTHING. Let others pick up that slack.
