@timothyceegee I would think if you used one of those Twitter migration apps to find people then you would be pretty set. The local timeline in Hachyderm is probably pretty good.

@mcneely Yeah, used debirdify which was a lifesaver lol. Now to figure out if I like the standard mastodon client or if I want to use something else. Just trying to get used to the whole home vs local vs federated timelines and how to wrap my head around them

@timothyceegee the standard Mastodon app sort abstracts away some of the technical terms for things which can be confusing. I'm on Tusky fwiw which I have my own gripes about (why am I limited to 5 tabs?) Good news is there's lots of improvements and new clients coming soon! It just takes a few days.

@mcneely gotcha. Haven't looked into mobile apps yet, I'll need to look at the official and Tusky. Standard web app seems fine, https://pinafore.social/ seems like a less cluttered version for web stuff. Probably won't need a mobile app until twitter finally falls over one way or the other.
