Using the method in @maartenballiauw’s post about webfinger (https://blog.maartenballiauw.be/post/2022/11/05/mastodon-own-donain-without-hosting-server.html), if you now search the Fediverse for an account on my personal domain (which could also just be my email address), it will point you to this account automatically. That’s *superb*. God I love web standards.
@Floppy @maartenballiauw thats great to know! It is still going to require an actual *server* as I understand the process. In other words, my statically hosted site at Netlify would not be able to use this trick?
