Question. Owning an instance with around 100 users costs around 20 dollars a month at masto.host. A11y.info is currently at ~60 active and likely to climb. I was not expecting this and I'm guessing many are in the same boat. I want to keep this going but was not expecting such an influx in such a short time. Any suggestion on what I can do to offset cost? Maybe start a Patreon, etc. Thank you all. This week has been amazing here.
@spellacy just curious, what's the breakdown of the costs and how does it relate to the number of users. Is it mostly server costs or is it object storage?
I know basic plans at masto.host start at $6 USD but I have no clue how powerful that individual server instance would be.
