@dallin@fosstodon.org @healthiswealth lynx is pretty cool, both for the web and gopher holes. I’ve also used amfora (Gemini client) with the http proxy set to stargate.gemi.dev:1994. That works as a pretty good text-based web browser too 😀
@leetaur@dallin yeah, even though I've been around a while I never heard of gopher until a year or so ago when watching a @distrotube video on it. Nice & simple but I never got around to setting up my own test site unfortunately. I'm pretty sure I used Lynx to browse as well as Firefox, although I think (as maybe stated in his video) you need to make a setting change in modern browsers in order to view them. Defeats the point in my view so I just stuck with viewing them in Lynx. All fun stuff!
