I know what you mean but I could barely convince some of my friends and family to drop WhatsApp for Signal. Most normies are not even willing to install an extra app from the Play Store and it's annoying. They:re saying they have nothing to hide.

I myself wouldn't use #Signal or WhatsApp. I tell ppl how to reach me on Wire or Jami or Briar. If they're unwilling then they are unwilling to stay in touch as far as I'm concerned. It's a bad idea for the burden of change to be on the more ethical/secure party.
