@flavy @rixty_dixet Indeed, but who can blame them, the west have been exploiting other countries / cultures for 100's of years. ;
@zleap @flavy@friendica.feneas.org @rixty_dixet@friendica.feneas.org looks like for some reason I can't reply to your comment from my Friendica account. Maybe someone didn't like my opinion. I'm Eastern European, so I don't have any kind of colonial - white guilt, and you shouldn't either. The Islamic caliptahes did the same and they started the African slave trade 1000 years before the Transatlantic slave trade, but nobody cares. Should I blame the Turks for colonizing Eastern Europe?
Maybe the west has had it's time dominating, and now it is the turn of China / Russia to dominate things.
@zleap @flavy@friendica.feneas.org @rixty_dixet@friendica.feneas.org And we should just accept it or fight back? China and Russia are aware of the racial tensions in US and Western Europe and they exploit it. My birth country was split by the USSR and we had the bloodiest revolution in 1989. A world dominated by Russia and China is a nightmare.
@zleap @flavy@friendica.feneas.org @rixty_dixet@friendica.feneas.org A week America and Western world is what China wants. I'm less concerned about the virus which is a joke compared to Spanish flu.
Indeed, and while the west falters china grows stronger and we keep selling our tech to china e.g ARM
no idea why, can you imagine the Victorians selling their inventions to China (as in IP)
@zleap @flavy@friendica.feneas.org @rixty_dixet@friendica.feneas.org After we go bankrupt China will just buy us all. Here in Canada they buy all the real estate in British Columbia and now Toronto.
@flav @flavy @rixty_dixet London too, I think
@zleap @flavy@friendica.feneas.org @rixty_dixet@friendica.feneas.org If you're on reffering to London UK that's not even British majority anymore.
@flav @flavy @rixty_dixet
Biden is going to have his work cut out fixing the mess with covid, there is a serious issue with this hack being ignored too, that needs fixing, and security improving which is also an education issue .
Maybe if these tools that were exploited were free software people could examine the source code before applying patches. but that is a different argument.
