Same. When I see myself in their cave scenarios all I see is claustrophobia, being stuck, dying, screaming, suffocating (and remixes on that order.)
@ellabellafull@social.librem.one @GivMeCoffee@mastodon.coffee When the hubster was stationed at Fort Knox in Kentucky, U.S.A., he convinced me finally to go with him to visit the mammoth caves. I was skeptic so because I’m also claustrophobic. The experience was unforgettable though. There were a few tight spots that made me anxious but overall I was glad to have gone.
That said, spelunking as a regular hobby/sport/activity is madness that I associate with the adrenaline junkies who also do weird shit like jumping off bridges with an elastic leash.
@fyrfli @ellabellafull yeah, I've done walkthrough caverns but think that's the furthest I'll go. Spelunking isn't for me but like is said, watching others do it is definitely really interesting because the caves are definitely beautiful.
@ellabellafull yup, especially with that incident where the guy did get stuck and didn't get out 😵💫
