I have noticed that Project 2025 includes unleashing the military against protesters. Trump has openly called for this himself on more than one occasion.
There's just one problem with this: we have the ability to meet force with force of our own. Here we go again: if protest is outlawed, only outlaws can protest.
Many analysts have said bluntly that if peaceful or semi-peaceful protesters are massacred by Trump, the odds of the current cold civil war detonating into a hot military conflict rise to nearly 100%.
Can you imagine how we would have responded in 2020 if Trump had had the Black Lives Matter protests in front of the White House shot up by those National Guard troops he brought in and assuming they did not mutiny on receiving such orders?

@LukefromDC word is, the military was already ignoring Trumps orders by the end of his term.
@ekg And he plans to replace officers that defy him this time.
@LukefromDC it's not that simple, the military have worked for the past four years to isolate itself from a potential Trump presidency.
@LukefromDC I see no reason to believe that the military wouldn't support Trump, which makes the whole thing way more dangerous. Effectively the military would use Trump as cover to get away with anything they liked.
@ekg If the military can keep Trump from using them, than sufficiently trained and aggressive protesters should be able to hold our own against cops as we did in 2020. They will know that using their guns without military backup will bring down a storm of shit they can't handle and some of it will fall on their masters in the condos and shopping districts.
