This one is disturbing because it looks like the infections and the deaths are pretty much the same.

What this data -naively- suggests is that the lethality of the virus has risen 8 fold in 3 years.
I suspect that what it really is showing is that deaths are still being counted, but the cases are progressively being less and less reported (by a factor of ~8).
This comports with CDC and State actions to pretend the pandemic ended and choose willfully to NOT gather or report data.
Deaths do still get reported, though under counted. Cases don't.

@samohTmaS @covid_stats oh yes I don’t even know where the case numbers are coming from at this point unless people are getting tested in the hospital. I’ve been in the hospital for a few days twice in the past two months and no one tested me even though I was there for severe G.I. symptoms.
I’m down to my last box of free at home tests and I just looked at Walgreens, if I want a PCR test I have to pay $100. And I guess if I wanted to be tested I would pay that hundred dollars rather than pay $25 for a test that probably won’t work anyway.
But at those prices who is even getting tested anymore?
@maggiejk @samohTmaS @covid_stats I don't know if they still test the sewage water, but that is a common and effective way to estimate population level infection.
