It's almost like a telecom trying to say who you're allowed to call or an ISP trying to dictate which websites you are allowed to use. Or, a better example is a Reddit app trying to dictate which subreddits you're allowed to view.

I assume we're taking about gab and while I may not agree with them and think most of the users are pretty dumb I feel like an app should remain neutral and simply provide access to services. However, I wouldn't blame you if you were to block it to remain in the Play Store.

That being said this is going to be quite the shitshow and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't at least a little excited to watch it all go down :puniko_popcorn:

@sjw @tom79@mastodon.social Yep, if the protocol does this filtering eventually someone will abuse the power. People need to imagine a fringe group they agree with getting blocked and see how they would feel about it.
