Ok one complaint. When connected with hdmi to a tv set, and routing audio through that hdmi, through the tv to a set of speakers, the sound lags. Or cuts, jumps, whatever you wanna call it. Doesn’t sound good.
Plugged the speakers directly to the Mac Mini headphone jack, routed audio to ”headphones”. Now no problems.
Just installed Linux Mint on a late-2014 Mac Mini. The only customization I have done on the Mac is I added a more modern M.2 disk on it. Runs like a charm! No complaints so far.

No sóc "fan-boy" d'Apple però reconec que fan les coses bé, de vegades. Tinc encara un portàtil de l'any 2017 en prou bon estat i he tingut un mini i5 fa uns anys.

I wouldn't recommend someone a device 4+ years old, but the #AppleM1 is my only exception.
It's incredible how this machine still holds to this day, and second hand makes it a killer proposition.
I know 8GB and 256GB won't be enough for demanding people, but for the average user, it will, at least for starters.
