This is my first step into the #Fediverse. I'm looking forward to learning more about it and meeting new people.
I'm a writer by trade who works for a University as their Web Content Officer.
I run a website called the Worldbuilding School which is all about building imaginary worlds. And I'm writing a collection of Cyberpunk flash fiction with a Retrowave style.
I just became a supporter of @Linux4Everyone.

"Plausible is a newer kid on the open source analytics tools block. It’s lean, it’s fast and only collects a small amount of information. What sets Plausible apart from its competitors is its heavy focus on privacy"
Thanks Opensource.com! 😍

Pixelcat is a beautiful and fast Android client for the fediverse. It focuses on images and is primarily intended to be used with @pixelfed but it works with @Mastodon and #Pleroma as well (everything that speaks Mastodon api).
#Pixelcat is free and open source (GPLv3). https://github.com/pixelcatapp/Pixelcat
I admit, I did NOT see this one coming. I am happy to see it though.
Planned obsolescence can undermine privacy - and our pocketbook. For example, Apple computers, that get phased out of new software updates, may force us to make unnecessary choices.
This could force us to purchase new computers (when they are still viable) and to use hardware and software that may be outside our needs.
Try to install Linux before you opt for a new device. POP_OS performs wonderfully on outdated iMacs. Many distros can take a slow Windows PC and give it new life.
This is one of the very first @PINE64 #pinetime coming out of the factory programmed with an open source firmware, #InfiniTime.
Unboxing it was one of the most satisfying moment, and this is actually the very first time I've ever wear a Pinetime on my wrist :D
