Ok, so it looks like this toot blew up.
And what can I say? If you liked it, I by all means encourage you to try #NetBSD out for yourself! If you've had enough experience in a Unix command-line, and isn't afraid to do some reading on the documentation, it's a very rewarding experience.
You can see how I ran NetBSD on the first Raspberry Pi (2012 Model B) in this post for the Old Computer Challenge. If *that* was usable, anything else is going to be great!

#Debian 13 Trixie now officially has #HDR support built right into the Gnome desktop out of the box. After upgading my desktop now has options for HDR right in the display settings, 🙂
You obviously have to have an HDR display connected; my laptop doesn't have these options listed because it doesn't have an HDR display.
Just edited our nginx configs and added
if ($http_user_agent ~* "Meta-ExternalAgent") {
return 403;
}
to the server block
People, please don't use #SubStack
Please use #Ghost
https://ghost.org
You can let your site be hosted by Ghost or even better..
..self-host!
Setting up a site is super easy and you can even use membership features like I do here: https://stux.me/membership/
For every platform with a shady CEO there is a self-hosted alternative that is waaay better
#FOSS FTW!

In other news, after an evaluation period, it seems that I can have a specific type of LinkedIN account without dealing with their privacy related nonsense from earlier this year (sending them my passport info will never happen). So the post is shared over there as well:

Unfortunately, it required creating a new account after >10 years of connections, so those are all gone. Yay for starting over in unnecessary ways!

Urgent help for OpenPrinting needed!
As many here know, I am co-founder and lead of OpenPrinting since 2001, known as the print guru for Linux and free software by many. I also got one of the 8 fellows of the Linux Foundation for this.
Up to now I was working at Canonical, hired back in 2006 just to run OpenPrinting and also to maintain printing-related Ubuntu packages.
At #defcon #defcon33 come check out the #postmarketos table, we got a random asus laptop and a pinephone pro, as well as stickers, makercoins and a Ranny there!
Today at 13:30 on Track 1 @ https://nitter.oksocial.net/search?q=%23DEFCON 33: Senior Staff Technologist Cooper Quintin will be covering the latest EFF tool, Rayhunter and how it works. https://www.eff.org/event/eff-def-con-33
