I have been working on a web rendering engine for the last four years and I keep managing to optimize this thing! I was able to reduce rendering time from 55.38 milliseconds to 34.04 ms.

And that's with dozens of distinct database reads and writes.

Okay, we know these TCP sessions are simulatanously getting

KILL LA KILLED

But why?

(There are MULTIPLE ways to get to this eventual understanding)

For some reason the 5th SSH session is dying early. Let's filter on the stream ID to isolate this individual TCP conversation. Yes there's a SYN then two repeats. Nothing is getting established from get-go. But what about the others?

Learn to use the Statistics tools in Wireshark.
Okay, so in networking mutliple sessions can occur by opening new source port, connecting to the server again, and then doing business that way. That appears to be how SSH works. Look! We see 4 connections with lots of traffic, then

Before this, it was in a wooden crate, which I thought was appropriate as it’s homemade and reaches back to the typical cases the Apple 1 ended up in.

Yes, that’s an arcade player 1 start button on the side as a power button 😁

Unfortunately, @tut doesn't give a graph for polls, so I made one manually.

(Psst, @sibotherium, we should totally implement that! ;) )

I seem to have stumbled across a group of folks who scan for and then grief unprotected #Minecraft servers. The log entries' usernames are a Discord address which takes you to "Block Game Renovation Club". One of their channel rules says, "No griefing", but then they post videos of exactly that to the "announcements" section. I asked who they were and they tried to get me into voice chat, I guess since text messages can be read by third parties, like Discord moderators. 1/

Got the 2G CF card to boot! I used qemu with an image of the 40MB drive and a blank 2GB disk image with the exact same number of bytes as the actual CF card. From the 40MB drive I was able to fdisk and sys it, but couldn't set the partition active. I mounted the 2GB image using qemu-nbd and let Linux fdisk make the partition active. Booted the 2GB image in qemu and so I used ddrescue (I like the progress info) to put on CF and it booted in T5200! #RetroComputing #VintageComputing
