"What this means in plain English is that one of the largest financial institutions in the world is seeing what people who are paying attention are seeing with their eyes: Companies are acting like generative AI is going to change the world and are acting as such, while the reality is that this is a technology that is currently deeply unreliable and may not change much of anything at all."

Travelling by sleeper train beats travelling by plane. Hands down.
I’m travelling in a small hotel room with a view. It almost feels as soothing as sleeping in a boat. I got to the train by foot and I’ll arrive in the city centre.

I deactivated my #Facebook account. I had been using it to try and spread #cybersecurity and #privacy tips to friends and family; to make myself available. After 3 years of trying to spread awareness and inform people, it slowly became obvious that they didn't "want" to know when #Meta abused their access to information, or what things they could do to be safe. If it meant any amount of slight inconvenience or action on their part, they didn't care, so I left and probably won't be back.

So my brother-in-law lost his job because of the #Crowdstrike issue. He works on ships that sail out of New Orleans and when he gets to come in he flies home. He went to Nashville like normal to catch his flight back down to New Orleans but all flights had been cancelled. He tried to rent a car but couldn't rent a car either and the ship had a schedule to keep so he lost his position on the boat.
