Okay, when exactly did we accept that the concept ’operating system’ should include things like web browsers, ads, or capturing everything I do for neural network processing?
I’d be happy if all they did was close to what I was taught on the operating systems course in the university. Provide means for input and output, handle storage, make it possible to run programs, things like that.
Everything else is somethig else than an OS. ’Revenue platform’ could be close to what it is.
