@andy_geronimo HIIII!
So, finally, Musk's minions have acknowledged why they locked out third-party Twitter clients: The purpose is to force users onto Twitter's own website and apps.
Remember, they lied earlier to justify killing off the competition, claiming violations of the rules. Since there were no violations they could point to, they rewrote the rules.
Anyone who trusts Musk and Twitter at this point is willfully stupid.

#DRM isn't just an annoyance -- it's a violation of your right to use the items you own as you see fit. Learn more about our Defective by Design campaign at http://defectivebydesign.org, and follow our campaign account at @endDRM
Hey, bestie! Let's start a healthy trend!
If this post ends up on your timeline, stop what you are doing! Take a deep breath, and slowly exhale. Give yourself a few minutes to be alone with your thoughts and remind yourself that this world is better with you in it! ❤️
Do you feel better? If yes, boost this post and help it reach more people who may need the same reminder!
Personal social revelation of the day:
The reason I like platforms that give me the ability to “react” with an emoji is at least twofold:
1) when other people react to my words, without adding anything further, it gives me a cue that the conversation can be considered gracefully closed (at least for now)
2) if it seems like a conversation has reached the “battling to get in the last kind word” stage, it gives me a way to get in one last kindness, without further belaboring redundant verbal pleasantries.
#ActuallyAutistic people sometimes need to spend time actively thinking about this stuff.
Fast Fashion Facts:
- We buy 60% more than we did in 2000 but each garment is kept for half as long.
- Of the billions of clothing items made each year, over half are thrown away.
- The fashion industry employs millions of people but only around 2% earn a living wage.
- 60% of clothes are made from synthetic fabrics derived from fossil fuels.
- The production of textiles produces almost 1.2 billion tonnes of CO2 per year.

@Gina maybe you’ll start a new trend #coffincore

@iyalei that, that is comedy done right.
Thank you, I LOLed real hard!!!
After a famous YouTuber was facing allegations of sexual assault, and someone proposed that famous men stop sleeping with their fans, I saw a comment from someone,
“Then what’s the purpose of getting famous?”
And it just smacked me like I’d told a joke at the Oscars.
Yo, do dudes really think the only reason to earn recognition is so that you can get laid?
My god, how are we the same species? How powerfully pathetic and sad to be unable to find value in anything but getting off. WTF
@rant if someone is only getting famous to have sex with more people, they’re using their influence to do so.
The whole point of my toot was the comment from someone suggesting that the only reason to get famous is to be able to influence more people to sleep with you.
Using your position to influence someone to sleep with you is predatory.
A must-read essay by Melinda Cooper on the "anti-eugenics" arguments that religious conservatives are deploying in their effort to enact a federal ban on abortion in the U.S.
"The stakes could not be higher. Yet much of the feminist left is ill-equipped to deal with this threat."
