@rygorous I don't think I have ever used a system that isn't a weird hybrid of both. I try to install all my stuff using the "default" local, whenever documented, but all my files are a weird mix depending on where they where created.

I have been planning to spend thousands of euro on a new laptop, so I can use my current one as a "free" home router/server...

I'm now considering looking for cheap laptops to use as an alternative. I don't like being responsible, but I am living on a lump sum payout that won't last forever.

@bri7@treehouse.systems why not?, I haven't worked a day in my life, nor do I plan to. I find the concept that you can deprived people, because they don't work, quite horrid.
