Looks like a few more slots were added to this wave of #PinebookPro preorders -- this isn't the next batch, just some devices that weren't claimed from the forum pre-orders. If you're quick, maybe you get lucky. ;)

So making small batches of Vinyl records (say 50 pcs) is really not viable. But with compact cassettes - I could pretty much manufacture them myself for as small amounts I want. I could rather cheaply buy cassette stock and print my own cover art. I got a nice tape deck that I could use to record the tapes myself with Linux :D Not sure how many of you would be willing to buy it though.

I am curious about analyzing notifications, especially concerning interactions around publications. So I am building this tool.

OK fedifriends, here's a fun issue that started today.

I have Nextcloud set to auto-upload my photos from my phone. This works great and has done for years.

So today, there's a "connection error" next to all the pending uploads. Not unprecedented, could be a server-side issue, expired cert, etc.

But - it only happens on wifi. If I turn off wifi and go to mobile data, everything's fine.

Will wait see how it goes on work's wifi tomorrow but would be interested in any theories in meantime.

@sandro -- tolerance. censorship is censorship. lets everyone speak. if nothing illegal is happening, no harm is done.

Cryptography question:
If you sign something and then timestamp it in a blockchain, I suppose that would be called "notarization".

What about transferring a token (e.g. a namecoin domain) to prove this and also that there is no other signature that we don't know about.
Is there a name for this ?

It's quite important for signing software updates in a way that proves that some poor activist is not receiving a special signed software update "just for them".

So, this one's rather interesting. Ever heard of a VIC-II (PAL) labelled MOS 8656R2? Well, I haven't.

Wondered why this (apparently fully functional) VIC that I got off eBay had a 8565R2 label fitted on top of it and peeled it off to find this underneath. A mistake in a production run, or ... ?

Hey, @switchingsocial do you know of any "Lifesum" alternatives?

"This community-oriented nature is at the heart of #AO3's [#Archive Of Our Own] success—it was created by #fans who got tired of the capricious takedown policies of #forprofit #fanfiction #hostingsites and decided to buy their own servers, teach themselves how to code, and create a site that was exactly what they wanted, including an incredibly functional #taggingsystem that runs rings around both professional databases and billion-dollar social platforms."
