We need to oppose the European Commission's digital omnibus disaster! We need to oppose it loudly and immediately!

Not only is the leaked proposal an outright attack on our digital privacy rights. The Commission would also set whatever will be left of the GDPR up to fail eventually.

I studied Artificial Intelligence for four years, and I am not touching LLM AIs with a ten-foot pole.

It's not really about the insane electricity demands, the water usage, tho that's a good reason. It's not even, if I'm honest, about the disastrous effect on the sum of all human art and knowledge.

It's because a) I've studied enough AI to know it's a trick, a sort of linguistic illusion, and b) I've studied enough everything else to understand that I'm not immune to such illusions.

I have learned that Luna has joined the Freedesktop Discord. People expressed feeling unsafe, but the admin shut down discussion immediately.

Luna has been passing around screenshots where an unidentified FDo CoC team member discusses banning me with her, and states that they have "a plan" [to deal with me].

I'm at my wit's end here. I have no idea how it's come to this. I feel like nobody in the Linux graphics/desktop community stood up for me as Luna manipulated and brainwashed people one by one. I will be removing myself from all FDo spaces entirely, including no longer contributing to any FDo-managed projects in any way.

I'm sorry. I can't do this any more.
