for some reason i am reminded of the support call i got from the secretary who had mapped the keyclick sound on her classic mac to a sample of Graham Chapman, from "The Life of Brian", screaming "Now... FUCK OFF!" and she couldn't get it to change back.
also she worked in the Town Hall right near the Lord Mayor's office.
We are under no obligation - morally, ethically, legally, or even economically - to support ad-based businesses as viable business models. No more than we're required to make oil- or tobacco- or gambling-based business models viable.
Supporting creators who have traditionally relied on advertising to get by is another matter entirely.
